The Derby Midland Hotel, part of LGH Hotels Management Ltd, is seeking a Breakfast Chef to join the kitchen team and help start guests’ day on a high note.

You will prepare and cook breakfast items, present dishes with care, and maintain a clean, compliant kitchen. The role emphasizes teamwork, consistency, and customer-focused service in a bustling hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Breakfast Chef or similar kitchen role.
• Ability to work early shifts in a kitchen environment.
• Strong hygiene and food safety practices.
• Ability to work well in a team and maintain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of breakfast dishes to a high standard.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team and play a key role in creating a positive start to our guests’ day.

As our Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard, ensuring food is presented attractively and served with care. Your work will help guests feel nourished, relaxed and ready for the day ahead.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of breakfast dishes, including eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, pastries and other breakfast items
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a high standard, with care and attention to detail
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, equipment and workstations
• Support the ordering and management of kitchen supplies and stock levels
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support a smooth and efficient service
• Keep work areas clean, organised and well maintained
• Assist with the training and support of junior kitchen team members when required
