Job summary

Avery Healthcare in Bristol is seeking a Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Avonmere Care Home to join our award-winning team. You will support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, compassionate and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, at least 2 years’ experience in a similar setting, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' wellbeing and update care plans as needed.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support development.
• Serve as key contact for residents, relatives and health professionals, escalating concerns.
