Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group's Hanford Court Care Home in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a warm Senior Care Assistant – Nights to join our award-winning team. You will work with the care team to provide high standards of personal care in a safe, supportive environment.

The role requires NVQ 3 in care (or equivalent), at least 2 years' experience in a similar setting, and strong communication skills. DBS check required; UK eligibility to work confirmed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate compassionate, person-centred care.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, relatives and staff.
• Hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Be flexible to cover shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and update care plans accordingly.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Conduct staff supervisions and support ongoing development.
• Serve as a point of contact for residents, relatives and health professionals.
