Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Roadside Technician for night shifts, field-based across the Nottingham area. Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs to restore member mobility and service coverage.

You will need at least Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance (Level 3 preferred) and a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience, plus a full UK driving licence (max 6 points). Overtime and bonus schemes boost earning potential.

Qualifications

Must have Level 2 or Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification.
Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on vehicle experience.
Full UK driving licence with up to 6 points; no bans.

Responsibilities

Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
Carry out mechanical and electrical roadside repairs, including battery replacements and wheel changes.
Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and advise members on next steps.
Provide temporary solutions to restore mobility and coordinate recovery if needed.
Work safely in varied environments and shifts.
