Job summary

Evri Group in Lincoln is seeking a Class 1 night‑shift driver to join our Volvo fleet, responsible for trunking to regional hubs and delivering parcels with safety and efficiency. The role covers loading and unloading, scanning consignments, using pallet trucks, and keeping the Defect Report up to date.

You will plan routes, work the night shift (9‑hour shifts, typically 5–6 pm), on a 45‑hour week. We value compliance with road transport laws and safe driving, plus DCPC training progress.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence required.
• DCPC training hours completed or in progress.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and safe driving practices.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Class 1 driver for the night shift to handle trunking to regional hubs on our exceptional Volvo fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a Volvo lorry (less than 4 years old) as part of our fleet.
• Work the night shift (9‑hour shifts, typically starting at 5/6 pm) on a 45‑hour working week.
• Plan and execute routes independently, ensuring timely delivery to and from customers.
• Load and unload goods, including scanning consignments and operating pallet trucks when required.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer each day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence.
• Completed DCPC training hours or actively pursuing them.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and a commitment to safe driving practices.
