Job summary

Evri Group in Hounslow is seeking a dependable Class 1 driver for a permanent night-shift role, 45 hours per week across Monday to Friday. You’ll drive our Volvo fleet, stay compliant with road transport laws, and contribute to reliable deliveries across the network.

Responsibilities include trunking to regional hubs, loading or unloading as required, scanning consignments, and daily vehicle inspections with Defect Reports if needed. The role offers stable nights and family-friendly patterns.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 1 driving licence and DCPC training hours.
• Good knowledge of road transport laws and safe driving practices.
• Experience with loading/unloading at sites is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Trunking to regional hubs on the night shift.
• Ensure cages, pallets, freight, stillages and yorks reach customers on time.
• Some sites require loading/unloading; at others you may do it.
• Scan consignments and drive pallet trucks as part of your day.
• Inspect your vehicle and trailer daily; complete a Defect Report if needed.

What You’ll Do

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They’re a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure you’re comfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 5/6pm. Our well organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you’ll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

• The job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift.
• You’ll ensure cages, pallets, freight, stillages and yorks get to and from customers bang on time.
• At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you; at others you’ll need to do it yourself.
• Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.
• You’ll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and completing a Defect Report if necessary.

What We’re Looking For

• Class 1 Driving licence as a minimum.
• Completed required DCPC training hours or working toward them.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and commitment to safe use of the roads.
