Avery Healthcare is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant - Nights at Poets Mews Care Home in Somerset. You will deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to ensure consistent, quality services for residents.

No prior care experience is required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided. You should communicate well, be adaptable, and able to cover various duties on night shifts. A DBS check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to take initiative and show respect to residents and staff.
• Efficient, capable of following reasonable instructions.
• Flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with personal hygiene to support independence and dignity.
• Identify and report risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls, or infections promptly.
• Be courteous to residents and visitors, upholding dignity and individuality.
• Follow safe systems of work across all tasks.
