About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Warehouse Team Manager to join our Warehouse Department at our Distribution Centre in Hatfield. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will lead and manage a team of warehouse operatives to ensure efficient operations, meet operational KPIs within tight deadlines, and promote a positive team culture.

This role requires someone capable of working under pressure, with a good analytical approach to work, and experience in team supervisory or people management within a team environment.

Flexibility is essential, as the successful candidate may need to work on any '5 days from 7' basis. Hours are predominantly from 10pm to 6am, but may include weekends based on operational needs.

Full training and development will be provided.

Main Responsibilities

1. Lead and motivate your team to achieve operational goals.
2. Manage team performance, providing guidance and support.
3. Plan labour and resources effectively to meet operational requirements, KPIs, and service levels.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
5. Coordinate and oversee daily warehouse activities.

You will need

1. Proven ability to manage and lead a team; training will be provided to the right candidate.
2. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to develop self and others.
3. Ability to plan labour and resources to meet operational requirements and KPIs.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
5. Flexibility with working hours, as shifts may vary.
6. Proficiency in Excel and Word.
