Job summary
CEVA Logistics in Daventry seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring safety, compliance and smooth running. You will manage a small team, plan resources, coach staff and focus on delivering daily targets.
The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication and a proactive approach to improve safety, productivity and service levels in a busy distribution environment.
Qualifications
- Experience leading or supervising a warehouse team in logistics.
- Good understanding of warehouse processes, stock control and KPIs.
- Hands-on, organised, able to plan workloads and priorities.
- Comfortable on the warehouse floor, coaching and supporting teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small team of Warehouse Operatives, keeping them motivated and focused on daily targets.
- Own day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and high standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
- Plan resources to meet workloads and customer requirements.
- Monitor KPIs and address issues to keep performance on track.
- Deliver shift briefings, coach teammates, and develop performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and service.
- Support stock control activities including cycle counts and discrepancies.
- Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement initiatives for better processes.
