Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a Security Host at Sandy Balls Holiday Village in Fordingbridge. You will help keep guests safe by patrolling day and night, welcoming visitors at the entrance, and handling emergencies with a calm, friendly approach.

Hours are seasonal and paid per hour, with weekly pay. Training is provided and a positive, can-do attitude is valued. You’ll work weekends and bank holidays as part of the role within our park environment.

Qualifications

• Full Driving Licence is required.
• Friendly and cheerful to guests.
• Willing to work bank holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests into the park and monitoring access for vehicles.
• Patrolling the park by foot and vehicle to ensure perimeter security.
• Door duties and guest assistance during emergencies.
• Provide out-of-hours help and occasional gas delivery when needed.

Location: Sandy Balls Holiday Village, Fording bridge SP6 2JZ

Hours: Seasonal contract, Variable per hour - Paid weekly!

What we need in a nutshell

This is not a typical park safety role. It’s much better! Based at the beautiful location of Sandy Balls Holiday Village, you will be keeping our holiday makers secure as well as helping them out when they need assistance.

We need you to deliver delight by being the person our holidays makers can rely upon day and night, keeping them safe and being there when they need help.

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be part of the team that makes sure the park is secure and safe at night and day. You will be a reassuring presence for guests, and you’ll be there in an emergency. It’s a varied and exciting job with responsibilities that include:

• Welcoming guests into our park at the entrance and monitoring vehicles that wish to gain access.
• Patrolling the park by foot and vehicle, ensuring the perimeters are secure and all is well within the park.
• Door duties.
• Helping guests with out-of-hours problems and delivering gas on the rare occasion a guest may have run out.

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. As long as you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience, and qualities you’ll need.

This is a great role for the right person, and we will provide full training and induction, so lots of experience is not as important as the right attitude. The only ‘must-haves’ are.

• Full Driving Licence
• Customer service skills – we want someone who is friendly and cheerful to our guests.
