Job summary

GAP Ltd. in Blackburn is seeking a Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The role involves measuring and cutting uPVC profiles, assembling and glazing windows, and operating CNC and saw machinery.

The ideal candidate will have fabrication experience and be comfortable working night shifts Sunday to Thursday from 10pm to 6am, with overtime paid at time and a half. This is a hands-on position within a busy production facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication, assembly, machine operation and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read measurements and work from specifications.
• Attention to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Measuring and cutting uPVC profiles using CNC / saw machine.
• Reinforcing and welding the window frames.
• Attaching handles and mechanisms using hand & air tools.
• Beading and glazing the windows.
• Window frame handling, storage, and loading using safe manual handling.
• Carry out assigned tasks diligently and with close attention to detail.
