Exemplar Health Care’s Laurel Place in Bishop Auckland is seeking a Night Unit Manager. You’ll lead the unit’s nursing team and drive high standards of care while reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

You’ll be the Named Nurse for residents, manage medication and clinical risks, and support staff development in a person-centred, quality-focused environment. This is a senior role with leadership responsibilities, requiring a first-level NMC nursing registration and post-registration management

Qualifications

• First-level nursing registration with a valid NMC PIN.
• Post-registration management or supervisory experience and/or training.
• Ability to work on own initiative and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead your unit’s care and nursing teams to meet residents' medical, physical and emotional needs.
• Provide strong leadership to maintain and develop high standards of care.
• Oversee and manage all your unit’s clinical elements and risks.
• Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed timely.
• Act as the Named Nurse for residents and oversee care profiles.
• Supervise ordering, handling, storage, administration and disposal of medication.
