Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a dedicated Unit Manager at Wytham Lodge in Burnley. You will lead nursing teams, maintain clinical standards, and drive quality improvements while delivering person-centred care to residents with complex needs.

As a Registered Nurse with an NMC PIN, you will oversee clinical governance, supervise staff, and manage medication processes. This role offers a clear progression path and comprehensive training opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

First-level nursing registration with a valid NMC PIN.
Post-registration and management or supervisory experience or training.
Demonstrated leadership and clinical care capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead the unit's care and nursing teams to meet residents' medical, physical and emotional needs.
Provide strong leadership to maintain high standards of care and drive improvement.
Oversee all clinical elements and risks of the unit.
Ensure care plans and risk assessments are timely and appropriately updated.
Act as Named Nurse for residents, overseeing care plans and profiles.
Manage ordering, storage, administration, recording and disposal of medication.
