Job summary

DPD Group is hiring for a yard operations role in the UK with night shifts across five out of seven days. You will manage safe trailer movements, adhere to safety procedures and liaise with drivers to keep the yard running efficiently.

Candidates should hold a Class 1 LGV Licence (C+E) and have experience in fast-paced environments. Benefits include a competitive salary, bonus scheme, Cycle2Work and other staff perks.

Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and pressured environment to ensure yard operation runs smoothly.
• Experience in a similar yard/driver role is preferred.
• Must hold a Class 1 LGV Licence (C+E).

Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers/tugs through the yard.
• Follow yard Health & Safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform pre-use safety checks and report defects.
• Communicate effectively via radio and other channels.
• Coordinate moves using the C3 yard management system.
• Ensure PPE usage aligns with SSOW for the role.
