Job summary

QS Recruitment is currently seeking a HGV1 Driver for local trunking work in the UK. You will deliver palletised loads to customers, open curtains for unloading, and perform daily vehicle safety checks with your team.

The role is temporary with potential for ongoing work. Hourly pay is £16.50 PAYE, with holiday entitlement of up to 28 days pro rata, and no visa sponsorships offered. Working Wednesdays to Fridays, 18:00 until finish.

Qualifications

• Licence held for at least 1 year with 180 days of commercial driving experience.
• HGV Class 1 Licence.
• Full UK CPC.
• Valid Digital Tacho Card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver palletised loads to customers in the local region.
• Open vehicle curtains to facilitate unloading.
• Complete routine vehicle safety checks before leaving the depot.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Work with an experienced transport team.

Job Description

Class 1 Night Trunking available immediately with the potential to become ongoing for the right candidate.,
As a HGV1 Driver, you will be delivering palletised loads to customers throughout the local region. There is no handball involved, as customers will unload the vehicle using their own equipment. Your role will simply involve opening the vehicle curtains to allow unloading to take place.

Before leaving the depot each day, you will complete routine vehicle safety checks and ensure all relevant delivery paperwork is completed accurately. This is straightforward trunking and delivery work with the support of an experienced and friendly transport team.

Duration: Temporary with ongoing work available

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £16.50 per hour PAYEYou accrue holiday up to 28 days pro rata.We do not offer Visa sponsorships

Working Hours: This role starts immediately. You will be working on Wednesdays to Friday and the hours will be 18:00-finish

Experience & Qualifications
