Job summary

Gist Limited is seeking a Night Transport Coordinator for the Spalding Transport team on a permanent night shift. You will coordinate drivers, manage live transport activity and ensure safe, efficient deliveries, working with the Transport Shift Manager to run the night operation smoothly.

The role requires leadership on shift, strong organisation and a focus on compliance and accurate payroll tasks within a busy transport office environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or distribution operations.
• Experience in Transport Coordinator, Transport Administrator, Transport Planner or similar roles.
• Ability to communicate with drivers, allocate work and make operational decisions.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience, including driver performance support.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
• Attention to detail and composure under pressure.
• Familiarity with transport compliance and Operator Licence requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the night transport operation to ensure safe, efficient and on-time dispatch.
• Be the first contact for drivers, provide support and escalate issues as needed.
• Brief and debrief drivers with accurate operational information.
• Monitor live routes and support service recovery during delays.
• Support the Shift Manager with day-to-day transport operations.
• Manage driver allocation and ensure resources are used effectively.
• Assist with return-to-work conversations and driver supervision.
• Maintain compliance with Operator Licence requirements and transport documentation.
• Complete payroll administration and Kronos-related tasks accurately.
• Collaborate with Transport, Warehouse and Planning colleagues for seamless operations.
