Job summary

Unipart’s Transport team is seeking a Transport Controller (Nights) at East Midlands Gateway to oversee routing, scheduling, and performance reporting. You will plan routes, coordinate inbound and outbound movements, and manage POD documentation while liaising with engineers and customers to resolve discrepancies.

You will support the Transport Supervisor to sustain service levels during peak periods and ensure accurate data entry, contributing to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with good commercial understanding.
• Previous experience in transport, distribution, or a 3PL environment.
• Strong administrative skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Growth mindset with eagerness to learn, develop, and define new processes.
• Confidence in decision-making and strong problem-solving capabilities using initiative.
• Proficiency in computer systems and understanding of Health & Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Plan routes and coordinate inbound and outbound movement of goods to ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with engineers and customers to resolve discrepancies and manage POD documentation.
• Maintain high service levels during peak periods and provide cover for the Transport Supervisor.
• Execute administrative duties with high attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Deliver against KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively as a team to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency.
