Job summary

EMED Group based in Shrewsbury is seeking a Night Controller/Planner to coordinate a high-volume, time-critical transport operation. You will plan and control booked patient journeys, dispatch the operational crews and allocate the right vehicle and crew mix to each journey, aiming for on-time arrivals and efficient returns.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated, time-critical operational environment.
• Desirable logistics/route planning experience.
• Desirable experience meeting KPIs using operational systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Check and plan daily bookings within the Cleric controlling system, ensuring resources are correct and inform sub-contractors, taxis and volunteers as applicable.
• Dispatch and manage operational crews to ensure timely collection and delivery of patients and achieve contractual targets including on-time arrivals.
• Receive requests for patient transport and queries, ensuring compliance with procedures and standing orders.
• Undertake general clerical duties including data input and invoicing as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and good housekeeping within the system.
• Ensure high-quality service and proactively address issues to protect KPI performance.
• Liaise with GPs, Nursing Homes, Hospital Clinics and Wards as needed.
• Maintain end-to-end journey flow and reallocate resources to minimise KPI impact.
