Job summary

EMED Group is recruiting for a Controller/Planner based in Sheffield. You will plan and control a high-volume, time-critical transport operation, allocating patients to suitable vehicles and crew, and scheduling journeys to meet time-bound KPIs.

You will coordinate with hospital staff to optimise resources and protect performance throughout the day. The role emphasises dispatching crews to ensure timely collection and delivery of patients, real-time demand-capacity matching, and effective

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated, time-critical operational environment.
• Desirable logistics/control/route planning or analytical roles.
• Experience working to time-critical KPIs and using systems to monitor performance.

Responsibilities

• Check and plan daily bookings within the Cleric controlling system.
• Dispatch and manage operational crews to ensure on-time arrivals and return journeys.
• Receive transport requests; ensure compliance with procedures and standing orders.
• Undertake clerical duties including data input and invoicing.
• Maintain accurate patient records and good housekeeping in the system.
• Liaise with GPs, Nursing Homes, Hospital Clinics and Wards.
• Maintain end-to-end journey flow and re-plan to minimise KPI impact.
