Job summary

The Beehive Project is seeking a dedicated full-time night-time key worker to support young people facing challenges such as mental health issues, homelessness, and poverty. You will build professional relationships, assess needs, and empower residents toward independent living.

You will support with medication, care plans, and regular health and safety checks, while coordinating with social workers and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English required.
• Ability to build professional relationships and maintain confidentiality.
• Capable of managing own diary and time while working nights.
• Experience in safeguarding and working with vulnerable young people is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Remain alert overnight to ensure safety of residents.
• Record and update information in care plans and write monthly reports.
• Provide emotional and practical support to help residents move towards independent living.
• Develop trust with young people and offer crisis support as needed.
• Assist with medication and domestic tasks, including house cleaning.
• Engage with external agencies to support appointments and plans.
• Identify training and development needs to promote employability.
