Job summary

Elevate is seeking a Therapeutic Adult Support Worker for a waking night shift at a solo placement in Nottingham. The role focuses on person-centred, therapeutic support tailored to one individual with complex needs, providing 2:1 care across a 24-hour rota.

The ideal candidate has at least 12 months’ experience with mental health, learning disabilities, or complex needs, and demonstrates trauma-informed practice, PBS training, and de-escalation skills. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience working with adults with mental health needs or learning disabilities.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is preferred.
• Trauma-informed practice experience or related mindset.
• PBS training or demonstrated non-restrictive approaches.
• Ability to de-escalate anxiety calmly and effectively.
• Commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusive practice.
• Willingness to be physically active with the client.
• Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient approach.
• Comfort with consistent routines and non-confrontational style.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred, therapeutic support tailored to the individual’s needs.
• Meet physical, emotional, educational, and psychological needs in a safe environment.
• Lead on care plan formulation, implementation, and review.
• Support daily living skills such as cooking and budgeting.
• Build rapport and actively participate in activities with the client.
• De-escalate calmly and recognise early signs of anxiety.
• Support tenancy stability and home environment.
• Collaborate with family and professionals across sectors.
• Assist access to education, employment, and community opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records per regulatory standards.
• Model professionalism and emotional resilience.
