Job summary

Bay Court Care Home in Largs is seeking a Team Leader to lead shifts, supervise care staff and coordinate delivery of safe, high quality, person-centred care for residents. You will work with the nursing and management team to maintain standards, support compliance, and ensure best practice across care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management.

The role offers £15 per hour, with full-time or part-time hours, PVG paid, pension, uniform provided and 5.6 weeks annual

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care required.
• Medication administration training with competency required.

Job description

Located in the picturesque seaside town of Largs, our brand-new, purpose-built home offers luxury living with exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care for 80 residents.

• £15.00 per hour
• Contracted to full time or part time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day to day leadership and delivery of care within the home, ensuring residents receive safe, high quality and person centred support at all times. Working alongside the nursing and management team, you will help maintain standards, support compliance and ensure best practice is consistently followed.

You will lead shifts, supervise and support care staff, and take responsibility for the coordination of care delivery. This includes overseeing care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management, ensuring all practices align with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.

You will act as a role model within the team, promoting positive working practices, supporting staff development and ensuring a culture of respect, dignity and accountability. You will also contribute to audits, reviews and continuous improvement, helping to maintain a well run and high performing service.
