Job summary

Changing Lives in Newcastle is seeking a dedicated night support worker to join the Cumberland House team. You will provide trauma-informed, person-centred support to residents and work as part of a small, friendly team.

The post involves supporting 12 women facing homelessness and related challenges, requiring compassion, active listening, and a collaborative approach. Shifts are in a rolling rota, with weekdays 22:00–08:00 and weekends 20:00–08:00.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support to residents
• Support 12 women at Cumberland House with homelessness-related challenges, including addiction, abuse, and mental health issues

• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment and uphold dignity and respect for residents
