Job summary

The Wallich is a leading homelessness charity in Wales, Swansea project. This full-time night shift role covers 37.5 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts from 20:15 to 08:15 on a 3-on, 3-off basis, supporting residents and ensuring a safe environment.

The role requires an Enhanced DBS disclosure. Closing date is 4 November 2026 at 09:00, with interview on 10 November 2026. The Wallich welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and offers support for adjustments during the application process.

Qualifications

• Night shift availability required.
• Ability to respond calmly to disturbances and emergencies.
• Experience working in housing or homelessness support is beneficial.

Project Description

The project is located in Swansea working with homeless and potentially homeless men and women aged 18+ who are former substance users. The service provides residential support with the aim of meeting individuals’ needs, which promote independence and lead to a sustainable move-on.

Purpose of Role

To provide a proactive night time presence across the projects to promote quiet and peaceful occupation of its residents/visitors. To respond to disturbances, emergencies and other housing management functions according to procedure and provide ad-hoc support to residents in response to demand. To assist with the organisations lone working and arrangement of out of hours resources.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.

We are not utilising agencies with this role and kindly ask that agencies do not approach to assist us with this vacancy.
