Job summary

Sense is seeking a caring and committed waking night support worker for our residential service in Quadring, Spalding. This permanent, part-time role offers a shift pattern with nights and weekend options, supporting disabled individuals with complex needs to live independently and participate in everyday life.

You’ll provide person-centred support, build relationships and help remove barriers, in a setting rated Good by CQC. Flexible hours across weekdays and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; values and attitude matter most.
• Experience supporting disabled people with sensory conditions is a plus.
• Demonstrates compassion, patience, respect and good listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support reflecting each person’s needs and aspirations.
• Help people make informed choices and maintain independence.
• Build meaningful relationships and understand communication preferences.
• Identify and remove barriers to participation in daily life and activities.
• Support people to enjoy interests, maintain relationships and engage with the community.
• Assist with appointments, activities, trips and outings of their choice.
• Encourage independence while respecting individual support needs and decisions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and others to promote consistency and wellbeing.
