Job summary

PBS4 is recruiting a Male Support Worker (Enablement Practitioner) for a 33-year-old man living in Sherborne, Dorset. You will work on wake-night shifts (20:00–08:00) with a 2:1 support ratio and provide medication support, personal care prompts, and encouragement for daily tasks in a positive, engaging way.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required
• Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010

Responsibilities

• Support a 33-year-old male with autism and mild learning disability.
• Provide support on a 2:1 ratio and assist with medication
• Encourage and support daily household tasks in a positive way
• Assist with personal care and prompt dressing as needed
• Engage in activities such as listening to music, swimming, walking, visits to ships, museums, and theme parks
• Maintain meaningful relationships with friends and family while upholding clear boundaries
