Job summary

Priory Ty Ffynu in Abergavenny provides residential support for individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities. The home is in a quiet residential area, a ten-minute walk from the town centre, with an MDT on-site to support residents.

As a Healthcare Assistant you will join a compassionate team, assisting with personal care, daily living tasks, and activities while helping residents set goals and maintain records.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support work is desirable.
• Training provided for role.
• Registration with Social Care Wales is referenced as a requirement in Wales.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
• Encourage participation in activities and community life.
• Support residents in achieving personal outcomes and tracking progress.
• Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts and daily notes.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Uphold safety, confidentiality and professional standards.
