Job summary

Autism Plus in Hull is seeking a dedicated full-time night shift Support Worker to provide person-centred support to adults with autism and learning disabilities in Hull Supported Living services.

You will assist with daily tasks, health needs, and community participation, following Care Plans, with a 3-week induction provided. Shifts may cover weekends/bank holidays; driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and compassionate to provide person-centred support.
• Able to commit to full-time night shifts and induction.
• Desirable: Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in their home in accordance with Care Plans.
• Provide practical support for individuals such as helping with household tasks.
• Provide emotional support to individuals by talking to them and listening to their concerns.
• Understand their communication needs and adapt communication to each individual.
• Offer unconditional respect for privacy and maintain dignity at all times.
• Assist in planning and pursuing strategies to support and alleviate challenging behaviour.
• Support and monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication where applicable.
