Job summary

Autism Plus is seeking a male care support worker for night-shift duties to support adults and young people with autism and complex needs. The role focuses on person-centered care, practical support at home, and promoting independence.

You will work with care plans, assist with daily living tasks, and provide emotional support while respecting privacy and dignity. Driving licence is desirable but not essential; evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting adults with autism or learning disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and adapt support to individual needs.
• Strong communication, listening and observation skills.
• Respect for privacy, dignity and rights of the individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in home environments according to care plans.
• Help with daily tasks: cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal care and paperwork.
• Provide emotional support and actively listen to concerns.
• Adapt communication styles to each person’s needs and preferences.
• Promote independence and social engagement through activities and outings.
• Coordinate with families and other professionals to support wellbeing.
