Job summary

The Tiger Group Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker for a children’s residential home in Maylandsea, Essex. You will monitor and support young people overnight, ensuring safety, wellbeing and a calm environment.

The role offers a stable 4-on/4-off rota (9:00pm–8:00am), induction and ongoing training, and a competitive salary of £30,888 per year (inclusive of allowances) with a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or residential care preferred.
• Empathy, patience and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support young people during night hours, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Provide a calm, caring presence and respond to incidents or emotional needs.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports and safeguarding documentation.
