Job summary

Inspire in Cannock is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist children and young people with learning disabilities, night routines, and morning prep. You will provide emotional support, maintain care plans, and help create a safe, nurturing home environment.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and offers a structured progression path with funded training and DBS checks. Night shifts and weekend rotation are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Must be able to work night shifts and maintain work/life balance.
• Previous experience is preferred or you may have cared for a friend or family member.
• Open to ongoing development and learning with help from your friendly team.

Responsibilities

• Support our young people with night time and morning routines.
• Create a warm, homely environment by assisting with light housekeeping.
• Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
• Be there in the night to support the young people.
• Keep essential records and care plans.
• Be an active listener ensuring each child is treated as an individual.
