Job summary

West Sussex County Council is seeking a Night Support Worker for Stanhope Lodge, Worthing. This part-time role (20 hours per week) involves waking night shifts, providing personal care, and keeping residents safe and comfortable throughout the night.

You will work as part of a residential team in a setting focused on independence and wellbeing, with enhancements for weekends, bank holidays, and night shifts. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 GCSEs including English Language and Maths, or equivalent qualification.
• QCF Level 2 or Diploma in care or equivalent qualification is desirable; if not held, Diploma expected within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal physical, emotional care and support during a waking night shift.
• Listen to people and treat all with respect, kindness and dignity.
• Undertake light domestic duties to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and safety for people we support.
• Complete regular hourly checks around the service, including wellbeing and safety.
