Job summary

Voyage-Care is seeking a dedicated Night Support Worker for our residential service in Wiveliscombe. You will help residents with bedtime routines, personal care and night-time checks while fostering independence and safety in a supportive team environment.

The role emphasizes applying Positive Behaviour Support, resilience and flexible scheduling, with enhanced pay for evenings/weekends and separate overtime rates. A full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence and be reliable in a care setting.
• Demonstrate resilience, flexibility and calmness under pressure.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience supporting individuals needing enhanced support including trauma, autism or mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bedtime routines and personal care during night shifts.
• Conduct regular checks throughout the night.
• Carry out light domestic duties when not on checks.
• Support individuals to gain independence and meet personal goals.

Support Worker – Wiveliscombe - £13.56 ph plus night enhancement

Typical Shifts are: 20:30 - 08:00 working 3 shifts a week including alternate weekends

As a Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service is a grade two listed building set in the beautiful rural location of Wiveliscombe. With its own orchard, log cabin art hub and pond, you can be sure that no two days will be the same! As a Night Support Worker you'll be enhancing the lives of people we support by assisting with bedtime routines, including personal care and completing regular checks throughout the night. You will also be expected to complete light domestic duties in any spare time.

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving licence, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism and people who have experienced trauma.
