Job summary

Voyage Care in Melksham is seeking a caring Night Support Worker to help adults live more independently. You will work the night shift from 21:00 to 07:00, with on-site duties and regular welfare checks to ensure safety and comfort for residents.

Qualifications

• Caring, hands-on and compassionate approach to support work.
• Full UK driving license and reliable transport for shifts.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support and reflective practice.
• Experience supporting individuals with enhanced needs, including mental health or trauma.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bedtime routines, personal care and overnight checks.
• Carry out light domestic duties during spare time.
• Support individuals to gain independence and confidence in daily activities.

Night Support Worker - Melksham - £13.34ph (including the night enhancement)

(Please be aware if you live outside Melksham you will require transport as public transport is not available to get you to shifts on time)

Typical Shifts are: 21:00 - 07:00 working 1 shifts a week on a rota basis Monday - Sunday

As a Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! As a Night Support Worker, you'll be enhancing the lives of people we support by assisting with bedtime routines, including personal care and completing regular checks throughout the night. You will also be expected to complete light domestic duties in any spare time.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
