Job summary

Voyage Care Gloucester is seeking a Night Support Worker to provide overnight care and support for individuals with complex needs. You will assist with bedtime routines, monitor wellbeing, and perform light domestic tasks as part of a supportive, caring team.

The role emphasizes safety, empathy, and the ability to help residents grow in confidence and independence, with additional pay enhancements for evenings and weekends where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience in night-time support and personal care is preferred.
• Ability to follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflect on practice.
• Excellent empathy, patience and reliability for overnight care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bedtime routines and personal care during night hours.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure safety and wellbeing of residents.

Night Support Worker – Gloucester - Pay rate starts at: £12.95 - £14.95 (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are: 22:00 - 08:00 on a rota, working 3/4 shifts a week, including alternate weekends

Our Headway accredited ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service Gloucester provides long term specialist care. It has a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! As a Night Support Worker, you’ll be enhancing the lives of people we support by assisting with bedtime routines, including personal care and completing regular checks throughout the night. You will also be expected to complete light domestic duties in any spare time.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should ideally hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex individuals with mental health needs and challenging behaviours.
