Job summary

Asda is seeking a Night Manager to lead the night team and keep operations running smoothly while the store remains open 24 hours. You will ensure the best availability and high shop floor standards across departments, while maintaining safety and legality for customers and colleagues.

You’ll work a rolling rota with 4 nights over 7, including weekends, and be solely responsible for the store through the night, overseeing operations until day shift begins.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
• Strong customer service focus and leadership capabilities.
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shopfloor during night shift by ensuring delivery is date rotated and waste/returns managed.
• Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver shopfloor standards with strong customer service.
• Ensure shopfloor is presentable for customers before handing over to the day team with promotions and key areas ready for trade.
• Develop the team and foster a culture of ownership, accountability and motivation to grow.
