Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Abingdon is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to support customers with a passion for food. The role includes part-time hours (24 per week) from Thursday to Sunday, with nightly hours 22:00–08:00 and a base pay of £13.00 per hour, increasing to £13.25 after 90 days.

You will handle stock replenishment, online order fulfilment, and teamwork across the store while maintaining a safe, clean working environment. DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and team collaboration.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is beneficial.
• Interest in food and drink trends recommended.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and correctly placed.
• Fulfil online customer orders for delivery to customers' doors.
• Reduce wastage by following due diligence and marking down near expiry items.
• Support wider shop team with checkout help, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe, tidy shop floor and general housekeeping tasks.
