Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Berkhamsted is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to support customers with a friendly, partner-led service and passion for food. You will help stock shelves, fulfil online orders for delivery, and reduce waste while collaborating with a retail team. Night premiums apply for late shifts.

Applicants must be 18+; hours are varied part-time across seven days, including weekends. The role offers a temporary contract at £13.00 per hour, rising to £13.25 after 90 days, with a £3.75

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer facing role is welcomed.
• Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch.
• Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers' doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns.
• Working with the wider shop team to support when needed including checkout support and Click & Collect.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
