Job summary

Booker Group is seeking a Stock Control Assistant to join the Best Food logistics team in Banbury. You will work nights, managing stock accuracy for all product categories and communicating with suppliers and internal teams to minimise stockouts.

The role requires numerical skills, strong communication, and experience in FMCG. Some stock control tasks include managing shelf life, KPI reporting, and warehouse stock balancing across temperature zones.

Qualifications

• GCSE standard or equivalent
• Experience in FMCG environment desirable
• Current FLT reach truck licence preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage stock accuracy across fresh, chilled, frozen and ambient ranges
• Verify stock including pack sizes, quantity, price and best before dates
• Manage returns to suppliers and depots
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and effective communication
• Monitor stock levels and KPI metrics to minimise out-of-stocks
