Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is seeking experienced Shunter Drivers to join our team in Coventry. We have PM ad-hoc Shunters (Monday only, start times 19:00–22:00) and full-time Shunters (Mon–Fri, 22:00–06:00). Assessments are available ASAP to start your shift work with guaranteed ongoing assignments.

Roles involve yard shunting, 40–100 moves per shift, and clear communication with transport teams. A UK Class 1 licence (C+E), DCPC, tachograph card, and clean licence are required, with a safety-first

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 months’ shunting driving experience.
• Full UK Class 1 licence (C+E).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
• Successful completion of assessment (theory and practical).

Responsibilities

• Shunting trailers within the yard – 40–100 moves per shift.
• Yard manoeuvring and reversing with confidence and accuracy.
• Communicating effectively with transport and logistics teams.
