Job summary

Look Ahead is seeking 3 compassionate and resilient Support Workers for our Islington Young People service. No experience required, just the right values. The role offers £30,784.00 per annum for 40 hours per week, with a range of benefits and training opportunities.

You will help create a safe, welcoming environment, support welfare, and work with the team to help young people achieve positive outcomes and move towards independence.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people, vulnerable adults or individuals with support needs, in any setting.
• Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Willingness and ability to work waking night shifts and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, professional and trusting relationships with young people.
• Provide emotional and practical support throughout the night.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people and the service environment.
• Carry out welfare and health and safety checks as per procedures.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and safeguarding concerns.
