Job summary

Look Ahead Care and Support in Islington is seeking 3 compassionate Support Workers for a Young People’s service. No prior experience required, just the right values. The role offers a salary of £30,784 per annum for 40 hours a week, with a comprehensive benefits package and induction training.

As a Support Worker, you will help create a safe, welcoming environment, respond to welfare needs, and work with the wider team to support positive outcomes and greater independence for young people.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people or vulnerable groups.
• Ability to build relationships and maintain professional boundaries.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to work waking night shifts.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, professional relationships with young people.
• Provide emotional and practical support during the night.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing within the service.
• Carry out welfare and safety checks per procedures.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies and safeguarding concerns.
