Job summary

GXO Logistics in Milton Keynes is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to lead a shift of 22:00–06:00 for the Waitrose operation. You will coach, motivate and engage a large operational team to hit KPIs and budgets while ensuring a strong safety and quality culture.

The role is full-time and permanent, with a 5-from-7 pattern and a 33-day annual leave allowance. The package includes a £37,000 salary plus a £3,000 shift allowance and benefits such as pension and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement.

Responsibilities

• To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
• Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
• Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
• Management of the warehouse training requirement and function
