Job summary

Bidfood is seeking a Night Warehouse Operative to join our busy night-shift team at Langley Road South, M6 6TZ. You’ll handle customer orders with hand scanners, load vehicles for delivery and prepare orders for the next day across ambient, chilled and frozen zones.

Working Sunday to Thursday, 20:30–06:00, you’ll stay active, keep the warehouse running smoothly overnight, and support colleagues to ensure drivers leave on schedule with complete and accurate orders.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using hand scanner technology is beneficial but not essential.
• Warehouse or multi-temperature experience is helpful but not essential.
• Good physical fitness for active role involving regular movement and manual handling.
• Reliability and flexibility to work evening and night shifts.
• Experience using FLT equipment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Picking customer orders accurately using hand scanner technology
• Loading vehicles ready for delivery
• Organising and storing products safely and correctly
• Using warehouse equipment safely, with full training provided
• Moving stock using pump trucks, power pallet trucks and forklifts
• Supporting colleagues to keep the warehouse running efficiently overnight
• Helping ensure drivers leave on schedule with complete and accurate orders
