Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking a Warehouse Operative for night shifts at our Bedford site. You will work Sundays to Thursdays, 17:30 to 03:30, preparing customer orders across ambient, chilled and frozen zones. Accurate picking, safe loading, and on-time delivery readiness are essential.

You’ll join a collaborative team, stay active throughout the night, and use voice-picking tech to ensure orders are correct. Training is provided, and flexibility is key to success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Works well in a team with good communication.
• Attentive to detail and accuracy in order picking.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, overnight warehouse.
• Experience with voice-picking technology is beneficial.
• Experience with multi-temperature warehouses is helpful.
• Physically fit for regular movement and manual handling.
• Reliable and flexible to cover evening and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately using voice technology headsets.
• Load vehicles and prepare orders for delivery.
• Organise and store products safely and correctly.
• Use warehouse equipment safely with training provided.
• Move stock using pump trucks, power pallet trucks and forklifts.
• Support colleagues to keep the warehouse running overnight.
• Ensure drivers leave on schedule with complete orders.
