Job summary

InPost UK in Alfreton is seeking a Warehouse Manager (Nights) to lead the night shift and drive operational excellence at our UK hub.

You will manage day-to-day warehouse operations, motivate a team, and ensure on-time parcel processing, accuracy, and safety while hitting KPIs and cost targets in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, rostering, liaison with transport, and a focus on continuous process improvement within a growing logistics network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fast-paced distribution or logistics operations.
• Proven track record in motivating teams to exceed targets.
• Experience driving KPIs and continuous improvement.
• Calm under pressure with strong prioritization.
• Proficient in essential software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the warehouse team to meet productivity targets and deadlines.
• Assist in planning and forecasting staffing, rosters and annual leave.
• Ensure labels, sortation and team productivity meet quality standards.
• Provide handover reports to the next Shift Manager for seamless operations.
• Induct new staff and train staff and contractors for safe, efficient performance.
• Ensure Health & Safety training is completed and a safe work environment.
