Job summary

Fowler Welch, part of the Culina Group, is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Broxburn to lead a busy warehouse operation on site. The role focuses on safe, efficient shifting, goods in/out, stock integrity and KPI-driven performance.

You will manage staff, co-ordinate labour and equipment, drive cost savings, and align with health, safety and customer requirements, reporting to the Senior General Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in an operational/warehouse role is required.
• Experience of managing a Warehouse Operation.
• Experience of leading and motivating a team.
• Customer stock and systems experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Co-pack processes and procedures.
• Experience in a FMCG environment.
• Experience of working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities.
• IOSH certification.
• Change management.
• Financial / Budgetary awareness.
• Develops best practice and drives continuous improvement in performance to achieve service objectives.
• Ability to communicate positively and clearly.
• Proficient in Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop a highly focused and efficient Warehouse operation including Goods in/Goods Out, 3rd Party Hauliers and Internal Movements.
• Challenge ways of working and deliver through innovation cost savings; monitor, control and minimise waste.
• Ensure best practises are developed and used to improve layout, efficiency and stock integrity.
• Manage the Stock Team and control & management of stock on IPS and Customer stock systems (e.g., Vision & SAP).
• Management of Yard and associated activities.
• Coordinate short & long term labour and equipment plans.
• Review staffing levels by function and rotate staff per volumes.
• Monitor and manage team performance against KPIs.
• Motivate a team to meet Warehouse targets.
• Identify and mentor potential Key Players; develop staff by training and personal development plans.
• Work with Group Safety Manager on Health and Safety Management System.
• Monitor health and safety systems and training; attend meetings.
• Liaise with customer and attend interface meetings; manage customer stocktakes on site.
• Participate in PDP program and personal development; undertake disciplinary investigations as needed.
