Job summary

Culina in the United Kingdom seeks a Warehouse Shift Manager for the Chilled & Fresh division. This full-time, permanent role operates on a 4 on 4 off night pattern from 18:00 to 06:00, supporting the Operations Manager in the day-to-day warehouse running and ensuring health, safety and KPI targets are met.

You will lead and motivate a large shift team, oversee goods inwards, drive quality and compliance, and deliver effective briefings.

Qualifications

• Operational management experience in FMCG warehouse.
• Experience leading a large shift team.
• Knowledge of warehouse health & safety legislation.
• Experience with WMS systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the shift team to meet or exceed KPIs.
• Uphold health, safety and hygiene standards and complete required paperwork.
• Ensure quality and audit compliance across the site.
• Deliver briefings so shifts stay informed and engaged.
• Oversee Goods Inwards to ensure quick receipts and intact goods.
• Develop team members and plan succession.
• Conduct disciplinary/grievance interviews per procedure.
• Monitor sickness absence and conduct return-to-work interviews.
• Supervise time and attendance and provide feedback on performance.
• Plan manpower, overtime and agency requirements for efficient shifts.
• Enforce Company policies and training on health & safety.
• Support management with ad-hoc warehouse duties.
