Job summary

Asda in Warrington is seeking a Transport Department Manager to lead the transport operation within the depot, ensuring goods move safely, legally, and on time. You’ll manage scheduling, vehicle deployment and delivery accuracy, implementing procedures and maintaining compliance.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you’ll coordinate day-to-day transport activity, carry out checks, and uphold HS&E standards while supporting our depot strategy and working with colleagues across teams to sustain

Qualifications

• Experience supervising colleagues or leading routine operational activity.
• Experience with structured transport or logistics procedures.
• Strong planning skills for scheduling and prioritising work.
• Understanding of safe systems of work and transport compliance.
• Ability to interpret data and produce clear reports.
• Strong communication and people support skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
