Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Traffic Management Operative for night shifts (19:00–05:00) in Radlett. The role involves overseeing traffic management schemes, ensuring safety compliance, and carrying out risk assessments. Overtime rates apply.

Must have Lantra 12d (TTMBC, M1-M2) and a full UK driving licence, with awareness of Chapter 8 and Street Works regulations. The position offers permanent employment, a competitive hourly rate of £12.71–£16.00 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Lantra 12d accreditation at minimum (TTMBC, 12d M1-M2).
• Lantra 12a/b accreditation; IPV driver; foreman advantageous.
• Understand differences between Chapter 8 and Safety at Street Works/Red Book and how to apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all methods of traffic management including Stop/Go boards, signals, convoying and closures.
• Ensure work follows safe methods and best practice procedures.
• Carry out risk assessments and method statements for traffic management works.
• Verify daily vehicle checks for cleanliness and safety of drivers and passengers.
• Promote positive company image through site presence and clothing.
• Suggest improvements and report to line manager.
• Direct the public through safe site lines when required and seek management intervention when needed.
